and fast track lanes are moving nicely. >> new this morning, a just-released report says san francisco muni overtime costs are over budget, and abc7 news reporter joins us live from the station with an employee who took an unbelievable amount in overtime. >> that is right. the "san francisco chronicle" is reporting that mull -- multiple muni employees made mother than $100,000 in overtime. the average worker, working 40 hours a week works about 2,000 hour as year. some clocked in 4,000 hours in a year. one mechanic made an extra $164,000 for clocking in 2,000 hours of overtime. the chief says the mechanic was paid for overnight work, on a new train control system when trains did not run. ten supervisors made more than $100,000 in overtime pay alone for the 2011 and 1212 fiscal year. one worked street corners keeping an eye on buss and trains and helping out in emergencies, and this supervisor clocked the most hours with 2,262 hours of overtime, earning an extra $147,000 on top of salary. we have a call in for a response to the shocking numbers and we do expect to have that coming up on abc7

it is astonishing, the san francisco chronicle is reporting that the city's overtime payment went $18 million over budget for the 2011-2012 fiscal year of 25 top overtime earners who work for the city, 22 worked for muni. ten supervisors made more than $100,000 in overtime. bringing their pay to more than $200,000 for the year so they worked 80 hour work weeks every single week of the year. we have a breakdown of the pay for a mechanic whose base salary was $106,000. he put in for 1,954 hours of over time. an average person worked 2,000 a year so the mechanic got paid for work 4,000 hours in one year. at $83.85 an hour he made $163,842 in overtime. with add-ons he made more than $293,000 for the year. this happened during the first year of lee's mayor, and san francisco police and fire departments overpaid in overtime and those departments along with muni spent $154 million for that fiscal year in overtime. >> thank you. oakland officials will make a major announcement declaring a local state of emergency to seek outside help over a wave of violence with a recent attack involving a drive-by shooti

out of san francisco. where police are involved in a standoff with an armed man. kron 4's scott rates is live in the richmond district with the latest. scott? >> reporter: >> oi just checked with police and they are still confirming that he is barricaded himself inside. it is still a very active scene. this is as far up as i can get. as i show you this is the crisis negotiation team. they are trying to get some progress. several swat team members running across the street. this started at 3:00 p.m. and there were shots fired inside this home. they heard someone screaming and i also saw the bullet hole right through that front door toward that is when officers walked out and this began. and some of these nearby homes have been evacuated. there also reports from police that this man is mentally unstable and is in sight alone. in side-alone. we can see the swat team. and running across the street it looks like they are going right through this neighborhood. and there are several swat team members they could be possibly gaining entrance. i will keep you updated and i will stay out here. >

with in the coming weeks. >>> deadly high speed crash in san francisco outside of a liquor store is still the focus of a police investigation and the arrest of the driver was all caught on video. it happened yesterday morning police with guns drawn as you can see there moved in on the unidentified subjects car. the suspect was arrested and being treated for minor injuries. they did find a gun inside that car. minutes before that arrest, the driver crashed into a white toyota at 21st and vaness. and surveillance video captured that crash as it happened. this all started with an earlier short of shots fired. police later pulled that driver over. but they say the driver sped away. >> he is now responsible for the deaths of at least two people. the third in life threatening condition. >> a 26-year-old pedestrian who was walk into that liquor store died at the scene. there was two people in the toyota. the driver suffered life threatening injuries. >>> our time 5:05. sal is back. he knows all about our commute. it is a cold, cold morning. >> you know what happens, dave and claudine, when it's so cold we

the coast, there is some by san francisco, i mean there is some really mild temperatures and it will be a day of high clouds. it looks like that antioch temperature 41 on a 46 novato 31 and not far away and i have seen some lower 30s and officially 38 in san francisco, and these temperatures are come up a long way in the last four to six days. it is the system to the south which is warmer and i think we will start to see more of a southerly breeze and there is a lot of high clouds slowly working their way in. a little haze on the edges and especially by the coast but right now we have the component of an offshore breeze. 60 on the temperatures a lot of high clouds to the north and it looks like we will get another one. timing is iffy but i would say warmer weather will return on sunday. >>> they reverse the decision and the uproar is stopping. >>> and it is caught on tape, how three people were able to escape after the suspect opened fire. >>> the movie is coming to the big screen and it is causing a big buzz in hollywood. . >>> the move comes after pressure after the san
